Quick 4-Ingredient Energy Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 1/3 cup oats
  • 1 cup almond flour

Optional additions

  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Preparation

  1. In a heatproof bowl, add the almond butter and honey, mix them, and microwave on high for 2.5 minutes, stirring at 30-second intervals.

  2. Remove from the microwave.

  3. Optionally, add a pinch of salt and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence if desired.

  4. Add the oats and almond flour, and mix until everything is well incorporated.

  5. Press the mixture into an 8-inch square pan or a smaller size pan lined with parchment paper.

  6. Flatten with a rubber spatula or the back of a flat bowl or glass.

  7. Let it set in the freezer for 30 minutes before slicing.
