Quick 4-Ingredient Energy Bars
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 1/3 cup oats
- 1 cup almond flour
Optional additions
- a pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Preparation
In a heatproof bowl, add the almond butter and honey, mix them, and microwave on high for 2.5 minutes, stirring at 30-second intervals.
Remove from the microwave.
Optionally, add a pinch of salt and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence if desired.
Add the oats and almond flour, and mix until everything is well incorporated.
Press the mixture into an 8-inch square pan or a smaller size pan lined with parchment paper.
Flatten with a rubber spatula or the back of a flat bowl or glass.
Let it set in the freezer for 30 minutes before slicing.
