Seed Cycling Snack Balls

Ingredients

Follicular phase

  • 7 tbsp flax seeds
  • 7 tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • 100g nut butter
  • few drops monk fruit or 2-3 teaspoons maple syrup
  • vanilla extract
  • almond milk to bind
  • optional: beetroot or cacao powder to roll

Luteal phase

  • 7 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 7 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 100g creamy nut butter
  • vanilla extract
  • monk fruit or 2-3 teaspoons maple syrup
  • optional: cacao nibs

Preparation

Follicular phase

  1. Coarsely grind the flax seeds, but not too fine.

  2. Mix all the ingredients together, using almond milk to bind.

  3. Shape the mixture into 7 balls.

  4. Roll the balls in beetroot or cacao powder if desired.

  5. Refrigerate the balls.

Luteal phase

  1. Mix all the ingredients together; no grinding is needed.

  2. Shape the mixture into 7 balls.

  3. Refrigerate the balls.

Tips

  1. Drink plenty of water to prevent bloating or constipation due to the fiber-rich seeds.

  2. Consume the seed balls daily, such as at 4 PM as a snack, and experiment with uses like smoothies, seed crackers, salad dressings, toppings, or seed milk.

  3. Remember that this is a gentle support method and not a cure for hormonal issues.
