Seed Cycling Snack Balls
Ingredients
Follicular phase
- 7 tbsp flax seeds
- 7 tbsp pumpkin seeds
- 100g nut butter
- few drops monk fruit or 2-3 teaspoons maple syrup
- vanilla extract
- almond milk to bind
- optional: beetroot or cacao powder to roll
Luteal phase
- 7 tbsp sesame seeds
- 7 tbsp sunflower seeds
- 100g creamy nut butter
- vanilla extract
- monk fruit or 2-3 teaspoons maple syrup
- optional: cacao nibs
Preparation
Follicular phase
Coarsely grind the flax seeds, but not too fine.
Mix all the ingredients together, using almond milk to bind.
Shape the mixture into 7 balls.
Roll the balls in beetroot or cacao powder if desired.
Refrigerate the balls.
Luteal phase
Mix all the ingredients together; no grinding is needed.
Shape the mixture into 7 balls.
Refrigerate the balls.
Tips
Drink plenty of water to prevent bloating or constipation due to the fiber-rich seeds.
Consume the seed balls daily, such as at 4 PM as a snack, and experiment with uses like smoothies, seed crackers, salad dressings, toppings, or seed milk.
Remember that this is a gentle support method and not a cure for hormonal issues.
