Hearty Oatmeal with Fresh Fruits and Spices

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 tbsp coconut flakes
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seed
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 mashed banana
  • 1 cup unsweetened soy milk
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • pinch of salt

Toppings

  • blueberries
  • strawberries
  • banana
  • nibs
  • almond butter

Preparation

  1. Put all ingredients into a saucepan.

  2. Bring to medium heat and allow to thicken.

  3. After 5 minutes, remove from stove and serve with blueberries, strawberries, banana, nibs, and almond butter.
