Sautéed Seitan Crumbles with Onions and Peppers

Ingredients

  • 1 package of seitan crumbles (I used @uptonsnaturals)
  • 1/2 red onion, diced
  • 1 large red tomato, diced
  • 1 red pepper, roughly chopped
  • 2 tsp tamari
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp @eatloisa sazon
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Preparation

  1. Add onions to a sauté pan and cook until softened, 2-3 minutes.

  2. Add in tomato and seitan and sauté for about 3 minutes.

  3. Add remaining ingredients, stir to combine and allow liquid to begin cooking off.

  4. Liquid should cook off in about 10 minutes. Stir to combine and then serve as desired.

  5. Goes great in tacos, burrito bowls and stuffed into empanadas.
