Spaghetti S Q U a S H + Sauce
Ingredients
- Spaghetti
- ground beef or turkey
- splash of olive oil
- 1 onion + 2 carrots
- sprinkle of salt
- garlic & diced green pepper
- crushed tomato
- 3/4 cup broth {or water} and 2 tbsp tomato paste
- handful of fresh basil chopped or 1 tbsp dried basil
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- salt
- pepper
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400
Cut squash in half lengthwise
Rub with olive oil, salt & pepper
Place cut side down on a baking sheet & poke a few holes on the outside with a fork
Bake for 40 mins
Over med-high heat in a large pot cook ground beef or turkey until brown; remove from heat & drain
Add a splash of olive oil, 1 onion + 2 carrots diced with a sprinkle of salt
After 5 mins add garlic & diced green pepper for 30 seconds
Add 1 28 oz can of crushed tomato, 3/4 cup broth {or water} and 2 tbsp tomato paste, handful of fresh basil chopped or 1 tbsp dried basil, 1 tsp chili flakes, salt, pepper & cooked meat
Simmer for 25 mins {or pressure cook for 10 mins + 10 min natural release in your @instantpotofficial }
