Tomato Tarte
Ingredients
- 330g flour
- 150g margarine
- 80ml water
- 1/2ts sea salt
- 200g silk tofu
- 200g normal tofu
- 400g cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 leek
- 2tb olive oil
- 1tb food starch
- 1ts kala namak salt
- 1ts tumeric
- pinch nutmeg
- fresh pepper
- 1ts thyme
- 1ts oregano
- 1tb chives
- 3tb basil
Preparation
Mix all ingredients for the dough together and cover the bowl with a kitchen towel
Place in the fridge for 15-30 minutes
Preheat oven to 200 degrees (c) two-sided heat
Cut the tomatoes in halves and place aside
Cut the leek and fry in a pan until golden
Puree the silk tofu, oil, starch, salt and spices together until creamy
Chop the fresh herbs and add to the filling
Add the dough with baking paper to a round baking tin and create an edge
Bake for 10 minutes
Mix the leek into the filling
Add the filling on the dough
Add the tomatoes (cut side looking up) on the filling
Bake for 20 minutes
Reduce heat to 175degrees (c)
Bake another 15 minutes
Let sit for 10 minutes before serving
