Tomato Tarte

Ingredients

  • 330g flour ⁣
  • 150g margarine ⁣
  • 80ml water ⁣
  • 1/2ts sea salt⁣
  • 200g silk tofu⁣
  • 200g normal tofu ⁣
  • 400g cherry tomatoes ⁣
  • 1/2 leek⁣
  • 2tb olive oil⁣
  • 1tb food starch⁣
  • 1ts kala namak salt ⁣
  • 1ts tumeric⁣
  • pinch nutmeg ⁣
  • fresh pepper⁣
  • 1ts thyme⁣
  • 1ts oregano⁣
  • 1tb chives⁣
  • 3tb basil⁣

Preparation

  1. Mix all ingredients for the dough together and cover the bowl with a kitchen towel ⁣

  2. Place in the fridge for 15-30 minutes⁣

  3. Preheat oven to 200 degrees (c) two-sided heat⁣

  4. Cut the tomatoes in halves and place aside⁣

  5. Cut the leek and fry in a pan until golden⁣

  6. Puree the silk tofu, oil, starch, salt and spices together until creamy⁣

  7. Chop the fresh herbs and add to the filling⁣

  8. Add the dough with baking paper to a round baking tin and create an edge ⁣

  9. Bake for 10 minutes⁣

  10. Mix the leek into the filling⁣

  11. Add the filling on the dough⁣

  12. Add the tomatoes (cut side looking up) on the filling⁣

  13. Bake for 20 minutes⁣

  14. Reduce heat to 175degrees (c)⁣

  15. Bake another 15 minutes⁣

  16. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving⁣
