Baked Savory Sweet Tofu Cubes

Ingredients

  • 1 block tofu
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder

Preparation

  1. Drain and press the tofu block for at least one hour

  2. Cut the pressed tofu into cubes

  3. Place the tofu cubes in a medium-sized container

  4. Add soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, and ginger powder

  5. Seal the container and gently shake to coat evenly

  6. Place the coated tofu on a baking sheet

  7. Bake at 400°F for 25 minutes

  8. Serve as desired

Tips

  1. Pressing tofu removes excess water, resulting in a chewier texture and better marinade absorption

  2. You can use a tofu press, purchase pre-pressed super firm tofu, or press manually by wrapping the tofu block in paper towels or a clean towel, placing it between two plates, and weighting it with a heavy book

  3. Press for at least one hour for best results
