Baked Savory Sweet Tofu

Ingredients

  • 1 block tofu
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder

Preparation

  1. Drain and press the tofu to remove excess water.

  2. Cut the pressed tofu into cubes.

  3. Place the tofu in a medium-sized Tupperware container.

  4. Add the soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, and ginger powder.

  5. Seal the container and gently shake to coat the tofu evenly.

  6. Place the coated tofu on a baking sheet.

  7. Bake in the oven at 400°F for 25 minutes.

  8. Serve as desired.

Tips

  1. Pressing tofu involves removing excess water using a tofu press or by wrapping the tofu block in paper towels or a clean towel, placing it between two plates, and adding a heavy weight on top for at least an hour to achieve a chewy texture and better marinade absorption.
