Baked Savory Sweet Tofu
Ingredients
- 1 block tofu
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
Preparation
Drain and press the tofu.
Cut the pressed tofu into cubes.
Place the tofu cubes in a medium-sized Tupperware container.
Add the remaining ingredients, seal the container, and gently shake to coat the tofu evenly.
Place the coated tofu on a baking sheet.
Bake in the oven at 400°F for 25 minutes.
Serve as desired.
Notes
Pressing tofu involves wrapping the block in paper towels or a clean towel, placing it between two plates, and putting a heavy book on top. Press for at least an hour to remove water and achieve a chewy texture, which also improves marination.
