Baked Savory Sweet Tofu

Ingredients

  • 1 block tofu
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder

Preparation

  1. Drain and press the tofu.

  2. Cut the pressed tofu into cubes.

  3. Place the tofu cubes in a medium-sized Tupperware container.

  4. Add the remaining ingredients, seal the container, and gently shake to coat the tofu evenly.

  5. Place the coated tofu on a baking sheet.

  6. Bake in the oven at 400°F for 25 minutes.

  7. Serve as desired.

Notes

  1. Pressing tofu involves wrapping the block in paper towels or a clean towel, placing it between two plates, and putting a heavy book on top. Press for at least an hour to remove water and achieve a chewy texture, which also improves marination.
