Easy Strawberry Cream Dessert with Fresh Berries

Ingredients

  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 (14-ounce) cans milk
  • 2 level tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 can heavy cream
  • 1 basket strawberries, chopped

Preparation

  1. Mix sweetened condensed milk, milk, cornstarch, and egg yolk in a saucepan

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened

  3. Pour the cooked cream into a serving dish

  4. In a bowl, mix the stiffly beaten egg whites, sugar, heavy cream, and chopped strawberries (reserving some for decoration)

  5. Spread the strawberry mixture over the cream base

  6. Decorate with reserved strawberries

  7. Refrigerate until ready to serve
