Creamy Quinoa Porridge

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp quinoa flakes (or use 50/50 rolled oats)⁠
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds⁠
  • 180 ml water⁠
  • 40 ml plant milk (i like to use coconut milk)⁠
  • 1 apple, shredded⁠
  • optional: 1 tbsp cashew butter for extra creaminess⁠

Preparation

  1. Just add all ingredients to a sauce pan

  2. Bring to a light boil and let it simmer while stirring frequently

  3. Keep stirring until you get the consistency you like

  4. I love it when it's not too thick, as it thickens up a little when you turn off the heat

  5. Serve with your favorite toppings! I used fresh figs and almonds
