Healthy Chocolate Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 320g banana, mashed
  • 100g yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp ground flax seed
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 80ml milk of choice
  • 2.5 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 165g wholemeal flour
  • 80g rolled oats
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

Preparation

  1. Mix all the ingredients together.

  2. Pour the mixture into a loaf tin.

  3. Bake for 40 minutes at 180°C.

  4. Let it cool and slice into 8 pieces.

Tips

  1. Top slices with Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and pumpkin seeds or other toppings as desired.

  2. This is a breakfast loaf and is not meant to be super sweet, with a texture more like bread than cake.
