Sausage Tart for Breakfast

Ingredients

  • 35g puff pastry
  • Grated mozzarella cheese (any cheese will do)
  • 3 vegetarian Lincolnshire sausages
  • Beaten egg (for brushing)
  • Black onion seeds
  • Hash brown bites
  • Chilli and garlic sauce
  • BBQ chilli sauce
  • Red onion
  • Radish
  • Radish shoots
  • Chilli flakes
  • Chives
  • Sea salt

Preparation

  1. Cut a 1cm border around the edge of the pastry without cutting all the way through and prick the inside with a fork to prevent rising.

  2. Part cook the sausages first.

  3. Add a sprinkle of grated mozzarella cheese inside the pastry border.

  4. Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg and sprinkle with black onion seeds.

  5. Bake in the oven until the pastry is poofy and crisp.

Tips

  1. Any cheese can be used or replaced with sauce, or a combination of both.

  2. Serve with hash brown bites, chilli and garlic sauce, BBQ chilli sauce, red onion, radish, radish shoots, and seasoning such as chilli flakes, chives, and sea salt.
