Cumberland Sausage Tart and Chips

Ingredients

Tart

  • 55g puff pastry
  • Egg
  • Black onion seeds
  • Heinz no added sugar tomato ketchup
  • Garlic Italian seasoning
  • 20g grated mozzarella
  • Asda plant based Cumberland sausage

Chip

  • 1 Maris piper potato
  • Rapeseed oil
  • Sea salt
  • Chives
  • Chilli flakes
  • Chilli and garlic sauce

Preparation

Tart

  1. Brown the Cumberland sausage on both sides in a pan.

  2. Cut out the puff pastry using a cereal bowl, press down the middle, and prick with a fork.

  3. Brush the edges with beaten egg and sprinkle with black onion seeds.

  4. Mix the tomato ketchup and garlic Italian seasoning, then spread over the pastry.

  5. Add grated mozzarella and place the browned sausage on top.

  6. Bake for 17 minutes at 190°C.

Chip

  1. Peel and cut the potato into chips.

  2. Rinse and dry the chips.

  3. Spray with rapeseed oil and season with sea salt, chives, and chilli flakes.

  4. Air fry in three 10-minute cycles.

Tips

  1. Cook the tart along with other dishes to save oven space, such as a Dutch baby.
