Fall Themed Caramelized Apple Spiderweb Pancakes
Ingredients
Caramelized apples
- 1 or 2 apples, pitted and sliced into cubes
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar or other sweetener
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon oil or melted butter
Pancakes
- 1 egg or 1 flax egg
- 2 tbsp oil or melted butter
- 130 ml milk of your choice or filtered water
- 135 g flour (wholegrain)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar or other sweetener
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Preparation
Prepare the pancake batter by mixing wet ingredients first in a blender or bowl, then add dry ingredients until well combined. Let it sit and transfer to a piping bag.
Heat a non-stick pan and add oil or butter. Use the piping bag to draw a spiderweb shape first, then fill it with more batter. Bake each side for 1 minute or until golden-brown.
Wash and cut apples into small cubes. In a pan, add a little oil or melted butter, stir in the apple cubes with sugar and cinnamon, and fry until caramelized.
Plate the pancakes with the caramelized apples and enjoy.
