Fluffy Vegan American Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 300g flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2-3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 250ml plant-based milk
  • 150ml water or aquafaba
  • Vegan margarine

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, sugar, and vanilla sugar.

  2. In another bowl, combine the wet ingredients: plant-based milk and water or aquafaba, adding extra sugar if using aquafaba for sweetness.

  3. Gradually stir the wet mixture into the dry ingredients to form a smooth batter.

  4. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and melt a small amount of vegan margarine.

  5. Pour batter into the pan to form pancakes, cook until bubbles appear on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on both sides.
