Easy Tasty Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

  • Wholemeal flour - 1 cup @edmondscooking
  • Peanut butter - 1 cup
  • Coconut sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Lemon essence - 1 tsp
  • Pinch of salt
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Chocolate chips - 1/4 cup

Preparation

  1. In a bowl combine wholemeal flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and mix well.

  2. Add peanut butter, lemon essence, and mix well into the dry ingredients.

  3. At this stage, the mixture will be crumbly and a bit sticky depending on peanut butter softness; if thick, warm in microwave for a few seconds to soften.

  4. Add chocolate chips, then start adding water not all at once and mix into a soft dough.

  5. Make any shape you want and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 8 to 10 minutes.

  6. Cookies might look underdone, so remove from oven and let cool for about 15 minutes before removing from tray; they will firm up while cooling.

  7. If dough is not soft enough, add more water while mixing.
