Homemade Vegan Caramel Apples with Coconut Cream
Ingredients
- 3 Granny Smith apples
- 1 cup coconut cream
- 3/4 cup coconut sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- pinch of salt
Preparation
In a small pot, add all ingredients and whisk on medium-high heat until bubbly, then lower to simmer and whisk for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and transfer to a bowl; set aside.
Insert sticks into the cores of the apples and dip them into the caramel sauce, referring to the video for technique if needed.
Evenly coat the apples, place on a plate, and refrigerate to cool. Repeat the dipping process for a total of 2 or 3 coats.
When ready to eat, consume the whole apple or cut it into pieces for easier handling and less mess.
