Crispy Fried Potato Cones
Ingredients
- 1/2 packet small-sized wonton dough
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 large potatoes, cut into very small cubes
- 5 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- Chili to taste
For frying
- Corn oil
Preparation
In a deep bowl, place the eggs, salt, pepper, and chili to taste, and beat lightly with a hand whisk. Set aside.
In a wide skillet, heat the olive oil and add the cubed potatoes, stir until wilted and slightly soft.
Add the eggs to the potatoes, stir to combine, and cook for a few minutes until the eggs are dry. Let it cool slightly and add the white cheese.
To prepare the paste mixture, in a bowl, mix a little flour and a little water to form a liquid dough, or use egg white.
Shape a sheet of dough into a cone and secure it with a little paste mixture.
Stuff the cone with the egg and potato mixture, close it well, and secure with the paste mixture.
In a deep skillet, heat corn oil and fry a few cones until golden brown.
