Easy Fried Tuna Patties with Fresh Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 cans drained tuna
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon dried spices
  • 3 tablespoons red onion
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce
  • Salt and pepper

Accompaniments

  • Kale
  • Tomato
  • Cucumber
  • Lemon
  • Oil dressing
  • Feta cheese

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

  2. Form the mixture into 8 patties.

  3. Place the patties in the freezer for 20-30 minutes to help them hold together during frying.

  4. Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.

  5. Add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  6. Optionally, serve with a salad made from massaged kale, tomato, cucumber, lemon and oil dressing, sprinkled with feta cheese.
