Homemade Cinnamon Swirl Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (gluten-free option available)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (coconut sugar used)
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 egg

Cinnamon maple layer

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and spray or line an 8x8 baking dish.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flours, baking powder, and sugar.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the milk and egg.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until well combined.

  5. Pour a little over half of the batter into the baking dish, top with 3 tablespoons of the cinnamon and syrup mix, then add the rest of the batter, and top with the remaining cinnamon maple mixture.

  6. Use a knife to swirl the batter and bake for 25 minutes.
