Homemade Cinnamon Swirl Bars
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (gluten-free option available)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (coconut sugar used)
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 egg
Cinnamon maple layer
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350F and spray or line an 8x8 baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flours, baking powder, and sugar.
In a small bowl, whisk together the milk and egg.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until well combined.
Pour a little over half of the batter into the baking dish, top with 3 tablespoons of the cinnamon and syrup mix, then add the rest of the batter, and top with the remaining cinnamon maple mixture.
Use a knife to swirl the batter and bake for 25 minutes.
