Marinated Soy Steaks for Plant-Based BBQ

Ingredients

  • 6 big soy steaks
  • 1l vegetable stock

Marinade

  • 8tb Ketchup
  • 10tb BBQ Sauce
  • 2tb maple syrup
  • 2tb mustard
  • salt, pepper
  • 1tb paprika powder
  • 2ts steak spice mix
  • 1ts apple cider vinegar
  • 2tb liquid smoke

Preparation

  1. Try to prepare it early enough so that all the delicious spices can really sink in.

  2. Place the soy steaks in boiling vegetable stock.

  3. Let sink in for 15 minutes, mixing them in in between.

  4. Mix all ingredients for the marinade together in a bowl.

  5. Press the water out of the steaks.

  6. Place the steaks in the marinade.

  7. Let sink in for at least 30 minutes (the longer the better).

  8. Place on the grill or fry in the pan.
