Easy Baklava-Style Walnut Dessert
Ingredients
Dough
- 100g softened butter
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons apple vinegar
- 1 packet baking powder
- About 3.5 cups flour
- 1 cup ground walnuts
Syrup
- 3.5 cups sugar
- 3.5 cups water
- A thin slice of lemon
Preparation
Mix all dough ingredients to form a soft dough.
Lightly grease a baking dish and spread the dough evenly.
Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake until golden brown.
Prepare the syrup by combining sugar, water, and a thin slice of lemon in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and simmer until slightly thickened.
Pour the cold syrup over the hot baked dessert.
Allow the dessert to absorb the syrup completely, then slice and serve.
