Green Pepper Tuna Fish Soup

Ingredients

  • 3 tuna fish
  • 1 block tofu
  • 65 ml thick coconut milk
  • 300 ml water

Ground spices

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 7 shallots
  • 1 large red chili
  • 12 bird's eye chilies
  • 1 tomato

Aromatics

  • 1 galangal, smashed
  • 10 large green chilies

Seasonings

  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Preparation

  1. Clean the tuna fish, remove the head, gut, and bones, cut into 2 parts, then fry until half dry and set aside

  2. Cut the tofu into small cubes then fry until half cooked and set aside

  3. Grind the spices then sauté until fragrant, after fragrant add the aromatics

  4. Add the thick coconut milk, water, and seasonings, cook until boiling

  5. After boiling, add the fried tuna and tofu

  6. Cook until done

  7. Check the taste and serve

Notes

  1. This dish is easy to make and pairs well with warm rice, ideal for breaking the fast during Ramadan
