Indonesian Beef Bone Soup

Ingredients

  • 0.5 kg beef bones
  • Carrots and potatoes to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 shallots
  • 3 green onions
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 tomato
  • Sugar to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Clean the beef bones. Boil until the water boils, then discard the water and wash again. Then boil until tender, optionally using a pressure cooker.

  2. Sauté the shallots and garlic. Add water and the beef bones. Bring to a boil, then add the carrots and potatoes.

  3. Add the green onions, celery, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes on low heat. Adjust the seasoning. Finally, sprinkle with fried shallots and serve.
