Homemade Steamed Caramel Pudding

Ingredients

Caramel

  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons water

Pudding mixture

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1/3 can condensed milk
  • 2 slices sandwich bread (optional)

Preparation

  1. Cook the sugar and water on low heat until the sugar melts and turns brown, stirring slowly until combined, then pour into a mold and let the caramel harden.

  2. Blend all the pudding ingredients together quickly and pour into the caramel-lined mold.

  3. Steam the pudding for 30 minutes.

  4. Allow it to cool completely before removing from the mold to prevent it from breaking.
