Traditional Bandung Moss Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 packet agar-agar powder (10g)
- 500 ml water
- 300 ml thick coconut milk
- 2 beaten eggs
- 150 g sugar
- a pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon rose-flavored drink powder
- 2 knotted pandan leaves
Milk pudding
- 500 ml UHT milk
- 50 g sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder or extract
- 2 teaspoons agar-agar powder
Preparation
Combine all ingredients for the moss pudding and then strain
Add the pandan leaves
Cook over low heat until boiling, stirring occasionally
When moss appears on the surface, turn off the heat
Let the steam dissipate
Pour into a mold
Chill to set
Milk pudding
Combine all ingredients for the milk pudding
Cook until boiling
Let the steam dissipate
Pour over the set moss pudding
Chill and serve
