Palm Sugar Sago Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 cups white sago
  • 5-6 cups water
  • Coloring as desired
  • 2 pandan leaves

Sauce

  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 block palm sugar
  • 1/4 brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 pandan leaf

Preparation

  1. Wash the sago clean and soak it with coloring for about 20 minutes, then drain

  2. Heat water and pandan leaves until boiling, then add the sago

  3. Stir until cooked evenly with no white bits and sticky

Sauce

  1. Cook water, palm sugar, brown sugar, and pandan leaf until dissolved, then cool

  2. Scoop the palm sugar syrup into a glass or mold, add the cooked sago, and pour evaporated milk

  3. Serve and enjoy
