Malaysian Steamed Kaswi Gedik Dessert

Ingredients

  • 5 cups water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lime
  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup tapioca flour

Preparation

  1. Mix water with brown sugar and white sugar until dissolved

  2. Wait until warm, then add lime, wheat flour, and tapioca flour

  3. Stir with a whisk until well mixed

  4. Strain into an oiled pan and steam until cooked

Tips

  1. Choose dark brown sugar for the best taste
