Apple and Date Sweetened Oats

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Steel Cut Oats (soaked in water overnight, then rinsed and drained)
  • 1 tbsp flax seed
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 soft medjool date, mashed or 2 tsp maple syrup
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Pinch of ginger powder
  • 1/2 a Fuji apple diced
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cup almond milk
  • Pinch of salt❤️

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a sauce pan, stir and heat up until it begins to simmer

  2. Continue to stir as mixture thickens to prevent it sticking to the bottom of the pan, 5-8 minutes

  3. Pull off of stove and serve with fruit as desired and your favorite nut butter (my fav right now is almond butter)
