Cinnamon and Ginger Steel Cut Oats
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Steel Cut Oats (soaked overnight in water then rinsed and drained before using)
- 1 tsp ground flax seed
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp dry ginger or 1 tsp fresh ginger minced
- 1 1/4 cup almond milk, unsweetened
- Pinch of salt
Preparation
Soak the steel cut oats overnight in water, then rinse and drain before using.
Add all ingredients to a saucepan.
Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking to the bottom.
Remove from heat and serve immediately with additional toppings if desired, such as berries, coconut, and almond butter.
