Crispy Chickpea Toasts with Avocado and Spices
Ingredients
- 4 slices of toast (for 2 servings)
- 1 large avocado
- 1 can of chickpeas
- 1/2 tsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp mild chilli powder
- Pinch of turmeric
- Lime (to taste)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Preparation
Mash the avocado with lime juice, salt, and pepper.
Rinse and pat dry the chickpeas.
Roast the chickpeas in olive oil at 180°C for 20 minutes until crunchy.
Remove the chickpeas, toss with garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, smoked paprika, mild chilli powder, and turmeric.
Return the chickpeas to the oven for a few more minutes to absorb the flavors.
Serve the spiced chickpeas on top of the toast with the mashed avocado and a squeeze of lime.
