Spiced Chickpea and Avocado Toast
Ingredients
- 1 large avocado
- 1 can chickpeas
- 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon mild chili powder
- Pinch of turmeric
- Lime
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Bread slices
Preparation
Mash the avocado with lime, salt, and pepper.
Rinse and pat dry the chickpeas.
Toss the chickpeas with olive oil and roast at 180°C/360°F for 20 minutes until crunchy.
Remove the chickpeas, add the spices, and return to the oven for a few more minutes to absorb flavor.
Toast the bread slices.
Spread the mashed avocado on the toast, top with the spiced chickpeas, and serve with a squeeze of lime.
