Dairy-Free Nut-Free Cheese
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp agar-agar
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
- 3/4 cups barista oat milk
- 1 1/2 tbsp tapioca starch
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 pinch turmeric
- Garlic powder & salt to taste
- 2 tbsp water
Preparation
Mix water and tapioca starch together in a bowl
In a pan, combine oat milk, vegetable oil, agar-agar, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, turmeric, salt and garlic powder
Mix until dissolved
Cook on medium heat for 3 minutes
Once cheese begins to bubble, add tapioca starch mixture and cook for 1 minute
Lightly grease a small bowl with vegetable oil
Add cheese mixture to bowl and refrigerate for 2 hours
Roll cheese in smoked paprika and enjoy
Notes
This cheese is great on crackers, as a pizza topping, or in sandwiches
