Easy Two-Ingredient Yoghurt Bagels
Ingredients
- 1 cup Greek-style yoghurt (or dairy-free alternative)
- 2 cups self-raising flour
- A splash of soy milk or melted butter, optional, for brushing
- Bagel seasoning, optional
Preparation
Set your oven to 190°C (fan-forced if using) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
In a large bowl, mix together yoghurt and flour until a soft dough comes together. If it’s a bit sticky, dust in a little extra flour.
Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for a couple of minutes until it’s smooth.
Split the dough into 4 pieces for larger bagels or 8 smaller ones.
Shape each piece into a ball, then press your thumb through the centre and gently widen the hole to form a ring.
Arrange the bagels on your lined tray. Brush the tops with soy milk or melted butter for a glossy finish if you like and sprinkle on bagel seasoning for extra flavour.
Bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes, or until golden on top.
Let them cool fully on a wire rack before serving.
