Plant-Based Poppyseed Bagel Sandwich
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup garbanzo bean flour
- 1 flax egg (1 tablespoon flax seeds and 3 tablespoons water)
- 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Water, as needed
- Pinch of salt
- Poppy seeds for topping
Preparation
Mix the flax egg and let it set in the fridge for 5-10 minutes
In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and salt
Once the flax egg is ready, add to the dry mix with about 1/3 to 1/2 cup of water to create the dough
Spray the donut tray or coat with oil, add the mixture, top with poppy seeds, and bake for 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees
Enjoy with your favorite toppings, I used half an avocado
