Homemade Bahraini Karak Tea
Ingredients
Spice mix
- 3 teacups black tea leaves
- 1 cup powdered milk
- 1/2 cup ground cardamom
- 1/4 cup ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- ground saffron
For brewing
- 1 cup liquid milk
- 1 spoonful spice mix
- sugar to taste
Preparation
Mix all the spice mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container.
To prepare Karak tea, combine 1 cup of liquid milk, 1 spoonful of the spice mix, and sugar to taste in a pot.
Heat on low heat for about 15 minutes until it boils and the flavors are well infused.
Tips
Black pepper adds a light touch and can be omitted if not desired.
