Crispy Air-Fried Jackfruit Nuggets

Ingredients

  • 2 20oz cans of Nature’s Charm Young Green Jackfruit
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup pickle juice

Dredge

  • 2 cups potato starch
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp granulated onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp paprika

Preparation

  1. Prepare the jackfruit by boiling it to remove the brine taste.

  2. Submerge jackfruit pieces in the buttermilk and pickle juice mixture for 30 minutes.

  3. While the jackfruit is soaking, combine all of the dredge ingredients and set aside.

  4. After marinating, spoon out the jackfruit pieces and coat each one with the dredge mixture.

  5. Spray both sides of each jackfruit piece generously with a neutral oil of your choice.

  6. Cook in an air fryer at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.

  7. Remove when golden brown and serve.

Tips

  1. Do not overcook, as they will become tough to chew.

  2. Toss in your favorite sauce, eat plain, or use in a wrap for enjoyment.
