Easy Vegan Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plant milk of choice
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or agave nectar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegan marshmallows for topping

Preparation

  1. Mix the plant milk, cacao powder, instant coffee if using, maple syrup, and vanilla extract in a pot.

  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly for a few minutes.

  3. Pour into cups and top with vegan marshmallows.

Notes

  1. Omit instant coffee if you do not like the coffee taste.
