Ingredients
- 2 cups masarepa
- 2.5 cups water

Mix the masarepa and water to form a dough.
Shape the dough into patties.
Cook the patties on a griddle or skillet until golden brown on both sides.
Split the cooked arepas with a wet knife and fill with desired ingredients.

Arepas are naturally vegan, gluten-free, and very affordable at about $0.10 per piece.
Fillings can vary; examples include seasoned soy curls and peppers.
