Homemade Vegan Pastry Dough

Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon mixed herbs (basil, thyme, oregano)
  • 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation

  1. Mix the water with sugar and instant yeast, and let it sit for 5 minutes in a warm place

  2. Mix all the remaining ingredients

  3. Add the yeast mixture to the remaining ingredients

  4. Knead the dough for 5 minutes

  5. Let the dough rest for 45 minutes

  6. Shape the dough as desired and fill it with stuffing

  7. Let the shaped pastries rest for 10 minutes

  8. Preheat the oven to 230 degrees Celsius

  9. Bake the pastries for 13 to 15 minutes

  10. Serve and enjoy
