Cashew Caramel Nougat Bars

Ingredients

Nogat base

  • Solid part of a can of coconut cream
  • 3/4 cup cashews
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp unicorn superfoods caramel slice protein
  • 1 tbsp almond flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Pinch of salt

Cashew caramel

  • 3/4 cup cashew butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp maca and lacuma powders

Chocolate coating

  • 1 bag chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • Flaky sea salt

Preparation

  1. Blend together the nogat base ingredients and dump into a parchment-lined loaf pan.

  2. Let freeze for 1-2 hours.

  3. Mix together the cashew caramel ingredients until smooth and pour over the frozen nogat base.

  4. Let the entire treat freeze for 3 hours.

  5. Remove the frozen treat from the pan and slice into candy bar shapes using a sharp knife.

  6. Melt together chocolate chips and coconut oil until smooth.

  7. Dip the frozen bars into the chocolate and tap off excess.

  8. Sprinkle on a little flaky sea salt.

  9. Place back into the freezer to set.

  10. Enjoy.
