Cheesy Sausage and Bean Mash Pie
Ingredients
- 6 Cumberland sausages
- Baked beans
- Tablespoon tomato puree
- Onion salt
- Garlic powder
- Cajun seasoning
- Tender stem broccoli
Mash
- Marabel potatoes
- Onion salt
- Chives
Topping
- Extra mature cheddar cheese, grated
- Monterey Jack cheese, grated
Preparation
Peel and dice the marabel potatoes, boil until soft, mash with a little potato water, and mix in onion salt and chives.
Pan fry the Cumberland sausages until cooked, then cut them on a jaunty angle.
Cook the baked beans on the hob, add tomato puree, onion salt, garlic powder, and cajun seasoning to taste, then stir in the sausages.
Transfer the sausage and bean mixture to oven-proof bowls.
Top the mixture with the prepared mash and sprinkle with grated cheeses.
Bake in the oven or place under the grill until the cheese is melty.
Prepare the tender stem broccoli by steaming or boiling until tender.
