Creamy Avocado Toast with Roses
Ingredients
- 4 slices of sandwich bread
- 200 g Philadelphia cheese
- 2 medium ripe avocados
- extra virgin olive oil
- fresh aromatic herbs
- salt
- pepper
Preparation
Cut the bread slices to a thickness of 2 to 3 cm, optionally brush with a little oil, and toast in the oven for a few minutes.
Meanwhile, cut the avocados in half, remove the skin and pit, and slice each half into very thin slices while keeping the fruit's shape.
Slide the avocado slices along the knife blade, offsetting them slightly to form a long row, then carefully roll into roses and season with salt and pepper.
Spread Philadelphia cheese on the toasted bread that is not too hot and place an avocado rose on each slice.
Complete the toast with fresh aromatic herb leaves such as marjoram, thyme, oregano, or basil to taste, and add other ingredients if desired.
