Healthy Chocolate Buckwheat Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup buckwheat
  • @sogoodau cashew milk to cover
  • 1-2 tbsp @aldiaustralia cacao powder
  • 1 tsp @loving_earth mesquite powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of vanilla
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • A pinch of cardamom
  • Chia seeds
  • Flaxmeal
  • Rice syrup
  • 1-2 bananas (1 frozen and 1/2 fresh optional)
  • Some ice
  • More milk
  • Optional: @aldiaustralia hemp protein
  • Optional: almond butter
  • Kiwi fruit for topping
  • Raspberries for topping
  • Peanut butter for topping
  • Pepitas for topping
  • For chocolate peanut sauce: cacao powder, rice syrup, vanilla, salt, peanut butter, and water

Preparation

  1. Combine buckwheat, cashew milk, cacao powder, mesquite powder, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom, chia seeds, flaxmeal, and rice syrup in a bowl, mix well, and refrigerate covered overnight or for a few hours if buckwheat is cooked.

  2. In the morning, add the mixture to a blender with 1-2 bananas, some ice, more milk, and optional hemp protein and almond butter.

  3. Blend until smooth.

  4. Serve and top with kiwi fruit, raspberries, peanut butter, pepitas, and chocolate peanut sauce.

  5. To make chocolate peanut sauce, mix cacao powder, rice syrup, vanilla, salt, peanut butter, and water.
