Savory Spelt Matcha Waffles
Ingredients
- 1 cup (120g) wholemeal spelt flour
- 1/4 tsp Himalayan salt
- 1 to 2 tsp matcha powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup (240ml) unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil (sub coconut or avocado oil) + more to grease the waffle iron
Preparation
Preheat the waffle iron.
In a bowl mix flour, salt, matcha powder, baking powder and baking soda.
Add almond milk, lemon juice and olive oil and mix only until combined.
Bake waffles in a hot waffle iron, greased with a little bit of oil, for about 4-6 minutes (exact time will depend on your waffle iron).
Best served warm.
