Thick Oat Breakfast Bowl with Toppings

Ingredients

  • oats
  • chia seeds
  • cinnamon
  • apple
  • water

Toppings

  • apples
  • cinnamon
  • tahini
  • nuts
  • dried fruit
  • oatmilk

Preparation

  1. Cook the oats with chia seeds, cinnamon, chopped apple, and water in a pot until thick and creamy

  2. In a separate pan, fry apple slices with cinnamon until soft and golden

  3. Serve the cooked oat mixture in a bowl and top with the fried apples, tahini, nuts, dried fruit, and oatmilk

Overnight variation

  1. Instead of cooking, combine oats, chia seeds, cinnamon, apple, extra water or liquid, and refrigerate for a few hours to make overnight oats.
