Coconut Namoura Semolina Cake
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup oil
- 1 cup liquid milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semolina
- 1 cup grated coconut
Syrup and topping
- 2 cups sugar syrup
- 2 tablespoons grated coconut
Preparation
Mix all the ingredients to form a batter.
Pour the batter into a 35x25 cm tray.
Let the batter rest for 30 minutes.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25 to 30 minutes until golden on top.
Pour room temperature sugar syrup over the hot Namoura.
Sprinkle with the grated coconut topping.
