No-Bake Date and Biscuit Sweets

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown flour
  • 1/2 cup ground biscuits
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 cups pitted dates
  • 1 cup clotted cream
  • 2 tablespoons tahini

Coating

  • Ground nuts
  • Ground biscuits
  • Toasted coconut

Preparation

  1. In a medium-sized thick-bottomed pot, place the flour, biscuits, and cardamom. Place the pot on medium heat and stir until the flour and biscuits are toasted and the cardamom aroma rises. Add the butter and stir until it melts and is absorbed.

  2. In a deep bowl, place the dates, clotted cream, and tahini. Mix with your fingertips to get a smooth paste. Add the flour mixture to the date mixture and stir to get a homogeneous dough.

  3. Take a teaspoon amount of the dough and shape into a smooth ball.

  4. In wide plates, place ground nuts, biscuits, and coconut. Roll the balls in the nuts, biscuits, or coconut to coat completely.

  5. Place the date biscuits in decorative paper cups and serve.

Notes

  1. Can be stored in a sealed container until serving.
