Healthy Gluten-Free Lauki Jowar Thalipith

Ingredients

  • 150 grams lauki
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • small piece of ginger
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • big bunch of coriander leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon carrom seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 teaspoons white sesame seeds
  • salt
  • 1 cup jowar flour
  • 1/4 cup besan
  • 1/4 cup rice flour
  • 3-4 tablespoons curd
  • water (if required)
  • oil (for brushing)

Preparation

  1. Shred 150 grams of lauki and set aside

  2. Pound 2-3 green chillies, a small piece of ginger, and 2-3 garlic cloves

  3. Add the pounded mixture to the shredded lauki

  4. Add a big bunch of coriander leaves, 1/2 teaspoon carrom seeds, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 2 teaspoons white sesame seeds, and salt

  5. Combine 1 cup jowar flour, 1/4 cup besan, and 1/4 cup rice flour in a bowl

  6. Add 3-4 tablespoons of curd and mix everything to form a soft dough, adding a little water if needed

  7. Heat a pan and brush it with a few drops of oil

  8. Take some dough with wet hands and spread it on the pan

  9. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and cook the thalipith on both sides until done

Serving suggestions

  1. Serve with curd, chutney, or pickle for a delicious and nutritious meal
